im almost sure there is something wrong with the preamp, when I use the vol all the way up and either pup or both, if i cut the mids, i notice a drop of vol. and it gets worse if i cut the highs and lows at the same time then there is almost no volume. if i cut everything and boost the bass all the way, there is a mild distortion, and it gets more noticeable as i boost the mids. makes me very disappointed cause i just got the bass in the clasifieds, and i dont think the guy noticed since he had it for a short time and claimed he didn't like it, unless he knew and decided to just sell the problem to someone else.

Contact the guy and ask for either a refund in the amount of a pre or some other equitable solution.

does anyone know if a tech guy will be able to tell is there is something wrong with the pre.

I do have a bartolini, NTMB +F 3 band somewhere, and I have not opened the lakland to see the preamp. does anyone know the model they used.

I've dealt with him before but probably not in at least a year but I've been trying for weeks to get a hold of him and just like the last two times I've tried to buy something he either takes forever or simply never responds. I just wondered if this was his status quo again.

I may just use pickguardian again myself, Mike has a template I need so I was hopeful that I could skip a step and deal with him but....

Has anyone had luck stripping and repainting their skylines? I'd love to see photos of refin-ned lakies, whether you did it or paid someone else to do it, and anything you can say on the process. Contemplating stripping my newest one, but I'm not heard of too many people doing it.
