I played one song with my new Decade last night. It's a slower tune, with a long guitar/vocal intro, so I quickly plugged in and hoped for the best. The good news was that it looked great. Seems a bit lighter than the SB-2 I was playing prior. I tried dialing back the bridge pickup and turning the tone down a bit as well, with full on the neck p/u. I found that made it hard for me to hear. I kept fiddling with it and though it played fine, I'll put it through its paces at practice this week.
I really wanted an opportunity to play it, but didn't want to take too many chances. Here's a video of the song, light on footage of yours truly, but I promise I'm there.
I come in at 1:17 after talking and the guitar intro.
I know what you can hear isn't the same as what everyone else hears but that sounds really nice and balanced in the mix. Nice, full, round tone. Plus, it looks killer (and isn't that really more important?
