Lakland Owners Group #69

or a Prince fan like me LOL.

ICYMI- I thought it was a 55-94, I was about to do some serious thinking...

That's a really cool finish option for a Skyline! Are they doing it for fours, too?

Edit: I'm betting not. When I look at Sweetwater's site, all the newer finish options (white, ice blue, transparent black w/ebony board, black sparkle) are only available for the 55-02.

I’m done buying for a while!! Let me just say that first, before posting pics of what arrived today. The Carlo came last Wednesday, and today, FedEx dropped off a first year Lakland SN 93 (in like new condition).

This thing has zero relief and no detectable string buzz! I’ve only had a couple other basses that could handle that kind of setup, which is my preference. John (xnewyorka here on TB) said he only played it a few hours the entire time he’s owned it. And, he bought it new. It sounds phenomenal! He maintained it meticulously! I am blessed that I was able to get it!

Hello LOG members, I am in need of assistance. I recently acquired a pair of chisonic humbuckers (not single coils) and have no idea what all the wires do. I contacted lakland and they still will not accept that I have humbuckers, dude keeps insisting they are single coils even though I have both single and bucker chisonics, anyway, they’re no help. Anybody here know what all the wires do?

Can chisonics be wired up series/parallel and still sound good?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Regards,

Ed

Wow- sweet!

I got a bass from John recently too (a Lull fretless)- he's great to deal with.

Sorry...I can't help.

I have humbuckers but they are snug in my bass and I don't want to pull them out.

I'm surprised the guys at Lakland won't help....hmmmm..

Carl Pedigo is a master Luthier and knows the CHIsonics well....
