looks to be an off white / light cream. I dunno. It reminds me of this pair of red converse I have. they are old and all the white rubber has faded to this fantastic off white color. They are my favorite sneakers and I've always wanted a bass w/that color combo of Red w/an aged off White look on the pick guard.
I'm weird I know.

I got to the checkout and saw that taxes and shipping we’re going to add hundreds to the price, and I bailed on the purchase and bought a bass from a seller on Talkbass, where buyers AND sellers win every time. I’m done with reverb!

I hear you. I do list stuff here and on Reverb. But yes, would rather sell on here all day long.

I'm contemplating closing my Reverb store. With the taxes they just started collecting.....
I'd just as soon start pushing my own website. Cheaper for me by far

That may be. Just found a video of someone else assembling the first D. Lakin P-bass. He might have outsourced everything except the management, I dunno.


Still, interesting to watch. I think I'll still stick with Lakland, though.

I’ve heard him mention Dan Strack a few times in interviews as the guy doing the building... in fact, that’s whose youtube video is posted above.

I've met Kirk several times.... He's a good guy and a good luthier for sure....

Never met Dan Strack that I know of

My new Gecko strap, being modeled by Sexual Chocolate on the right. I ordered it for another bass. But, it looks pretty on old SC too, huh?

John made a matching wallet for me too. I like to carry a very small wallet in my front pocket, and this one is perfect!
