Lakland Owners Group #69

Yes sir indeed. Now I own the 76 and the Strap lol.

Yes sir indeed. Both of my Laklands came from from Markus via Jedi.

Indeed sir. She is amazing. I feel truly blessed to have two amazing Laklands. Jedi has told me now that I have a Red (the Scheff) a White (the 76) now I need a Blue. So which model should my blue be guys?
I'm thinking a J-sonic but I'm open to suggestions.

I can say that literally both of mine were.
I agree with JJ. A 44-94 or dual J. That would be quite a collection.

44-64, J-sonic, 44-94, dual j 44, custom 44-94 with a P/MM config, Decade

So basically one of each?

He would end up getting more than just several basses... he’d get divorce papers LOL.

Lol yes. She has indicated she's open to the "Blue" bass idea to pull off my 'Merca Collection. Though she's just buying points towards something she wants...i'm no fool.
That said JJ you need to pick one bruh.

oh my indeed yes. I'm thinking J-Sonic. I wish they did a P style but w/a chisonic pup in the sweetspot.

I purchased a beautiful looking Skyine 44-64 here a while back that had been converted to the Chisonic J's. Thankfully the original pickguard with the Hanson P mounted came with. What a downgrade the Chi's were. I liked the Chi's in a Korean Hollowbody I once had but wasn't impressed with the J's in the least. Boring, lack of definition and just...dead sounding. My G&L 1st generation SB2 with single coils danced all over it's grave.

Your 44-64 had a Chisonic where the P used to be? Or, it had 2 Chi J pickups?

I think they really need a pre. I considered putting the P back in but didn't care for the feel of the neck either. Loved the look and you can't beat Lakland's Inca Silver. Luckily I scored a jazz-necked US 44-64.

Looks like somebody tried to mate a Ric, a J-sonic, and a 44-64!

Seller's regret on that one

Sellers regret. Ah, yes. This was a decade or so ago. Yesterday was my little brother's birthday (also a bass player) so I dug out this pic and meme'd him. I no longer have any of these. Last to go was the '62P, 2nd left bottom row sold here 2 weeks ago. Had her 45 yrs. I'm much more under control these days. o_O

Top row second from the left looks really cool. What is that? The 335 looking one.

Yeah, that strap is not leaving my place anytime soon. It matches my black leather belt and BMW belt buckle, LOL.

Markus turned me onto BMW. I currently drive a black sapphire metallic 335i. So, that strap is sorta sentimental. I’m not sure what bass will be wearing it, but it will get used.

They both have sweet rides... Although Markus has since moved on from that particular BMW

Well, craziest impulse buy I've ever made: my laklands will soon be married to an Eden half-stack! Thomann has a crazy deal on Eden stuff at the moment, and my el cheapo Ashdown was only ever meant as a stopgap. So there is a Terra Nova TN501 and matching 410 cab on its way to me. Thomann did them as a package for 45% off!
I couldn't pass that up. Pics to follow.

Peace, Soundsupport
