It was as if the clouds parted and the heavens shined down the first time I opened my 55-94. So, so pretty.

I have to admit, I was very impressed with the level of craftsmanship. I expected something nice, but to actually see..."So pretty."

It’s a really good example of the difference in quality between the US and Skylines. If it matters to you, you don’t need to say anything more as you know how good the rest of it will be based off of the cleanliness of that cavity.

Agree. Skyline use conductive pain. Not as effective as copper shielding done correctly. Did the copper shielding on my 44-01 cavity and it improved the amount of noise heard, especially with active pre and single coil pups.

What year is yours? I had a ‘12 that had the LH3 and didn’t have the brass fittings for the screws.

This was after I had the LH3 stuff swapped out for Barts.

Mine is a 2006. I wasn’t expecting the inserts and was very impressed when I felt them while taking off the cover.

Does anyone have a recommendation for replacement guards? I have an old Glaub PJ.

Do you suspect a place advertising a 44-64 guard would work? Im curious if anyone knows about variances in screw holes and shape from old to new. Found this:

I just got a replacement guard straight from Lakland and it didn’t fit. Almost none of the screw holes didn’t line up, and it didn’t fit over the pickup. I think you have to make a template no matter where you order from...

Lakland won’t do pick guard requests anymore.
Quick Guards did a great job for me.

Plays and sounds amazing! As for any cons, she feels pretty heavy (10ish lbs as my shoulder tells me). The tone is simply stupendous!
