Seems you got the firetruck out before any fire started.
Okay, but I wouldn't know that posts have been deleted. Sorry, but without that information, it does look like a nanny kind of thing.Seems you don’t realize that posts were already deleted or edited to conform with rules before you posted that.
A park putting a “beware of bears” sign up after they’ve already chewed on some campers is too late.
Listening to the social media vids, 3 long bursts of a fully automatic weapon, sprayed into a crowd. Not short controlled bursts like someone with training might do.
Just horrible for everyone.
Well he did have a hunting license, so he's probably decent with a rifle and aim etc. However, it's not like there are a lot of places to test your skills with a fully automatic weapon. Thankfully he wasn't a trained professional. Still, doing that much damage at distance; must've been a large caliber weapon and not some cheesy mack 10 or smaller automatic.
Oddly / Ironically enough:
One of many;

Note- Not implying a connection of ANY sort whatsoever.
True. I know there are those kinda places in the southwest, but it's not like you're gonna show up with your own illegal automatic weapon (Just guessing he acquired it illegally). Those places typically provide rentals, so I guess he could have practiced on an identical model, but it would be hard to know if his personal weapon was prone to jamming, or if the ammo was quality. I'm just guessing it's an AK or AR due to commonality. I'm sure there are black market Israeli or European automatics, but they can't be as common.
Odd how people and gurus are saying "he didn't fire in short bursts...obviously untrained".
To me the guy was intent on doing maximum damage with continuous fire.
I honestly don't know a lot about guns, but I do know that a jam is much more likely in full auto. Given that mass damage was his intent, I would think avoiding a jam would be high on his list. And if it was self-modified, I would expect the quality of operation to be less than that of a manufactured automatic. But maybe he just had a bunch of backups and was just spraying into what must've been a large target (20k people all packed in tight, right?).
Heard he had ten rifles. Don't know how much ammo though.
Correction latest detail was 16 weapons in room. He was intent on harm on a massive scale. It was planned long ahead of time to get the right room(s) with the vantage point.Heard he had ten rifles. Don't know how much ammo though.
