@SirMjac28 I totally understand where you're coming from.
Another perspective from an Israeli friend (where terrorist attacks are significantly more commonplace).
It was after 9/11, and talk in the US was "what will we build to replace the Twin Towers? Some sort of memorial or what?"
Her comment - "why even ask? You rebuild it, just as it was or better." She said that after a bombing or other attack, when the place/market/venue/whatever reopens, people flock to it. The attitude was "you can do this crap to us, but you won't make us give up our lives. We are stronger than you and we will carry on."
