Dunlop Nylon 1 mm (the black ones). They’re the perfect balance of sturdy and flexible.

For bass I usually just use a Dunlop nylon 1mm, but for acoustic guitar nothing beats a Blue Chip.

I'm with Killed_by_Death. I'm a big fan of Vinnies picks. I like the original "1980" with the ghosted edge or I go with the "Freakishly Large Round" depending on what I'm playing.

Hi everyone!

I’m a real pick geek, and have been a collector for about 30 years. I’m always on the lookout for new and cool picks, so if you can suggest any to me, that would be appreciated. I’ve got over 400, loads of shapes, sizes, materials, brands, etc.

But also, I’d love to have a poll of what’s your absolute favourite pick for playing, either guitar or bass or banjo or whatever else you happen to play.

Feel free to expand in the comments I’ve limited the poll to some of the most common types that are in my collection but happy to add more!

I typically don’t use pics, but that is a great idea for collecting. Would you post some pics of some of your favorites?
I’ve just kept a couple concert pics I’ve been lucky enough get.

Tried scores of different picks... settled on these years ago.
Great control, no pick noise, and they wear pretty well.

The only pick I ever use. I use the two blunt ends a la Bobby Vega. No digging into the strings, and no clack.

On the rare occasion that I use a pick, I like the Dunlop Tortex in a 1.5mm.
