Wow - I genuinely like that one, Sarge - Declaration: if we buy that one, I'd probably like to buy the rest of yall out when it's over, if it's still in new-ish condition. Hell, I might like to buy that one for myself even if "we" don't.

We are getting good response for this project. I think if the pace continues we may actually have enough by the end of the current Wish eBay auction to purchase that bass instead of the stude.

However if we don't, Wish said he will have the "stude" ready by next week for us.

If we can't get the eBay Peanut, would it be defeatist to the ideals of the project to ask Wish for a MM humbucker in the "stude"?

Did you indicate the details of the project to Wishnevsky? If you did, then certainly it could have tainted the whole deal, but maybe not - I don't know if Steve will actually change his practices just for a review. He makes no bones about what he does, and doesn't claim to be Vinnie Fodera.

for everyone participating and in response to the problems of the first Let's buy a Wish.


I am going to have the local witch doctor (uh-hem) put a "curse" on the bass. If the bass does not get to the next person on the list, in due time, you will be cursed with an embarrassing ailment such as an excruciatingly itchy rump for eternity (uh-hem).

he thinks he's something though. He says that after 350 basses sold that they are " the best sounding basses in the world" or something like that. dude there are probably like 1,000,000 Fenders per wish bass and he claims they are the best. seriously i hate this guy.

on the other hand, i REALLY like those SK basses. why don't we do a "Let's buy a SK bass" forum thing. doesn't the guy that makes them come around here often?

That is up to discussion.

One idea would be to get the bass back to Wish with everyones sig on it (let's use our TB handles) and get a picture with him and it. Then we could auction it off?? Let's get some ideas rollin'.

That is a good point. Personally I'd like at least 2 to 3 days with it. If we say 2 to 4 days then a month and a half (2 mos. with shipping time) to make it's rounds would be good. Agian, let's discuss it.

The aspect that killed part one to this project was people holding on to the bass too long. Maybe I can talk to my witch doctor to add in the curse - that that the bass has to be done with it's journey after 3 months tops, or else everyone involved will be doomed with itchy rump!
