Well, glad to see the bass made all of the rounds I know there were a couple of struggles, but good for you all, a nice cooperative effort. It's been kind of - disturbingly - fun lurking in this thread and reading all of the reviews .....

So, based on my very limited personal experiences with 2 Wish's and seeing all of your comments on this one ...... there will be no Wish's in my future :scowl:

Hey!!! I want a chance to play...er...um...TRY to play this bass. I didn't get in on the original list but I'll gladly throw some cash at coffee-sipper if need be.

If nothing else, I want to satisfy my curiosity about a wish bass. I almost bought one a couple years ago off the bay, but didn't for some reason or another.

So yea...can I try it?

Today I shipped our wishbass to cofee-sipper. Now should I shoot him an email, or should we wait for a surprised and perplexed post anouncing a very unexpected arrival In order to make its trip more transparent, here's the ups tracking number:

If there are more people that would like to try it - I do not see a problem in it. However, as a precaution, should we make them sign a contract of some sort, just to make sure that they're not going to "make it invisible"? Just something to ponder about.

Ha, it would be very interesting to try an upgraded version of this instrument, but I can only imagine hardship and frustration that some poor soul would have to endure to make it playable.

yep - I am still around - although 90 lbs less of me. I've had one of those change of life incidents. Anyway - I like the ideas of the wish's future. I'll take some snaps of the bass and myself. Also, if there is enough interest I'd like to send it on around the US again. I dig the upgrade idea. lets get something going again.

Where does this go next? If I remember correctly we still owe Wish 40 bucks (my bad). Are there 4 more people that might want to get in on the review (send the cash to wish not me)? Let's get another list going.

Oh yeah it doesn't smell anymore. Actually I am very impressed with how well it has stood up against all the travel.

I was thinking of some how grounding the strings - any thoughts? maybe add some metal string ferruls and ground those some how. ill take some advice. flatwounds maybe. I dunno. Ill take some suggestions.

You were obviously depressed and missing that wishbass a great deal, hence the reason for the weight loss.


Curious, but...

I've heard a lot of complaints about the side dots being out, but I've also heard that the scale length is not quite 34". Could you check out the intonation and slide that bridge back and see if you can bring the dots in?

And does ANYONE have any sound clips?

I don't even like the sound of that!! Was it an "organic" smell or a "chemical" smell from the finish?
Weght Loss: What an awesome transformation, keep up the good work!! We always say "congratulations" when people post pics of their new basses but this, IMO, is really something to be proud of!!
