No kidding! Having the NHL change the rules on hitting and suspensions in the middle of the Stanley Cup Finals will definitely produce a stunned silence from the people who live out here. Being told that Mike Murphy consulted with a rival GM on the suspension just puts the icing on the cake! The Canucks fired Brian Burke, he was fined large for tampering by trying to sign the Sedins before he was allowed to talk to them and he's from Boston...completely impartial, don't you think?

I don't have a problem with the Canucks losing to a better team, I have a problem with biased officiating and dirty hockey.

Am I the only guy who thinks that Bobby Lou should have been pulled after the third goal on Monday and after that really weak second goal last night?

All the ex-players in our area, say that he'll be in net for game 5. Seems to have lost his confidence. I agree, on that second goal, he had a good look at it.

Bruins will need to step up and match the Canucks intensity in game 5. I think this will be the Canucks biggest game yet. They don't want to go back to Boston down 3-2

The play is certainly getting more chippy. I see it on both sides. I'm glad to see the Bruins have decided to put the "white hats" away after the Rome hit on Horton.

Oh, he'll start Game 5 for sure.

I wasn't singling anybody out, I just hate that ****. Imagine the World Series if they allowed the first baseman and the pitcher to give the batter a shot on the way back to the dugout or the oncoming fielders to give the pitcher an elbow in the kidneys on the way out - it would be classless, just like the crap the refs are letting them get away with at the benches.

I love big, fast, hard-hitting, skilled hockey, we're just not seeing much of it at this, the best time of the season.

Never ask a goalie if you should pull 'em. Do it or don't. That (non) decision is the actual turning point in this series so far. I completely disagree with the notion that Rome's suspension has anything to do with the game on the ice. He's not that good and Horton was a real scoring threat for Boston. The problem is in Vancouver's head, especially the leadership of the team. They're trying to beat Boston at Boston's game which is definitely NOT their game. Believe me as a Sharks fan I know a thing or two about team leadership. Vancouver needs it now.

My $.02- there is a lot not getting called and Vancouver is definitely getting their licks in after the whistles. Blaming the officials is a sign of weakness because it keeps you from honest self-examination. Good team leadership wouldn't let their teammates off the hook like that, think Mark Messier or Stevie Y.

Yup! You could see the life go out of the team when Bobby Lou whiffed on that shot by Ryder - and then he blamed Salo for the goal in the press scrum afterwards... Luongo used to be like that but this year he's really been good about letting the puck come to him and not blaming the D - he's had a bit of a relapse, I'm afraid. I kinda wonder if he gets worn down.

Before I go-totally Off-Topic in this Off-Topic Forum :p ....

Let me just say that I got no-hockey-affiliations .... Canuck-wise or Bruin-wise. I like any-and-all athletes playing their game full-tilt-boogie :D . May the best team win. I usually cheer for The Underdogs. I sure will be watching Friday night to see if The Canucks can come out of their tail-spin downwards.

But I sure-do hate to see athletes (including that awful horse-racing incident :rollno: ) suffer major injuries as I watch on TV. Especially if the injuries are a result of cheap shots. I am empathetic, I cringe, and I get sick in my stomach watching.

I busted an ankle and tore my shoulder up playing in high-level volleyball tournaments, busted my fore-arm and got a large lump on my noggin jumping-off our garage roof in 4th grade (thought I could fly at the time ;) ), and busted my nose and put a deep-gash in the back of my calf riding bicycles.

Hell .... I can't even watch America's Funniest Home Vids anymore ... I am over guys trying to do tricks who end-up with busted nuts and fat-ladies doing face-plants at drunken weddings :D .

P.S. Troy .... I am trying to not be A-Bummer here. But have you been following the Fukushima Japan "Incident" :rollno: ? I saw one pretty-official-looking (and not-auspicious) report about radiation monitoring in Seattle.

Jake I did already mention Joni (mis-spelled by me) and Neil Young. I love you Canadians ;) . Ian and Gordon are also my favorites. We do Ian's "Summer Wages" in B in our bluegrass band. Wonderful song about logging, drinking your paycheck away, whores, and Seattle ... Troy ... Have you heard it ??

T. Shepp :D .... Good for you. I hope it works out. I love playing my basses with good fiddlers. I have a bunch of chord cheat-sheets for common fiddle-tunes if you want me to send them to you. I know the chord progressions to about 50 fiddle-tunes now ... More than just 2 chords :hiding: without consulting my cheat-sheets.

Recently I got drafted into playing my bass with a hot fiddler Dennis Stroughmatt and guitar player Rob Krumm from South Illinois ( Dennis Stroughmatt - Creole Fiddler ) as they travel through MT / ID / WA for a tour. I have 5 paying gigs traveling with them :) . Road Trip :D !!!

So far .... I like being an un-affiliated, drifter, old-American-plywoody Montana bass-player with a real day-job. Over the last 12 months, I will have played gigs and filled-in with 7 different bands ... Bluegrass, cajun / creole, old-time fiddle, old-time contra dance, old country, and David Mallet from Maine (he is hard to put in a box ;) ).
