Judging by San Jose's inability to keep the Canucks from scoring at will I'd say the whole region has the 'defenseman filter' turned off!

I'm just tired of Cherry's not-so-subtle ethnic slurs - "Bieska" and "Lugongo" for instance, especially when its my tax dollars paying his handsome wage. I've never been a fan of the guy.

Absolutely agree. The clown act plays well, I guess, but to put him up as some kind of Major God of Hockey is an insult. He brings that 1980's World Wrestling Federation look and feel to the game. Can't wait till he's gone...

Thanks for bringing that to my attention - I don't know how I missed it, given that I'm listening to sports talk radio pretty much non-stop these days! I see that Michael J. Fox and Robbie Robertson were invested as Officers of The Order of Canada - good for them!

Oog. It was just a slightly late hit Tom, from a guy who plays the game straight. Shoulder to chest while Horton was admiring his pass. Horton is fine - he was trying to get up and go back to the bench but the trainers restrained him, perhaps to get the reaction you've showed. They gave us an update on his condition on the CBC but it sounds like they didn't want you to know that on your station.

What do you call Peverley's slash to the back of Bieksa's knee well after the whistle and while Bieksa was looking the other way? I'd call it an attempt to injure but there was no call...

Hockey isn't always pretty, playoff hockey sadly, often less so, but it was the Bruins who dressed their goon for Game 3 - Vancouver doesn't even have one.

Apparently the Canucks were 13th in the NHL this year with 943 PIM (31 majors) while the Bruins were 23rd with 1115 PIM (73 majors). That 73 majors is the 3rd worst in the NHL.

It's a bass blog for ****'s sake if'n you want to troll take it elsewhere.

There are no angels in the finals and Vancouver has proven they are just as cheap as anyone over the course of these playoffs. With Boston there was never a doubt. I can see no justification for most of what happened tonight except intimidation, whoever flinches first will lose the cup.

As SJ's coach has said many times' "It ain't a series until someone loses at home."

With all that said, the finals are pretty damn exciting so far!

I'm curious why Vigneault left Lou in till the bitter end. If Van loses this series that will forever be the question, especially if Luongo comes apart.
