Let's spread some musical misinformation

Neil Diamond invented the bass face.

Neil Diamond was a duck billed platypus in a previous life... Just kidding, everyone knows that isn't possible.

But seriously, Later on in his singing career as he grew older he began to have serious ear wax build up problems. He kept a miniature pump in his back pocket that was connected to his ear via a small silver and red tube that sucked the ear wax out of his ear so he could actually hear the notes he was singing. In this picture you can see the massive build up of wax in his right ear and the thin suction tube routed down his back.

The suction process can be somewhat painful, so Neil has been known to make some pretty odd grimacing faces from time to time. This is one of those times.

Just in, The African killer bees were believed to be created by cross breeding, but the real cause has been found that the bees aggressive behavior is be caused by the notes being played on the low b string!
Exactly!
In fact, some time ago Michael Tobias invented a bass that utilized a reverse polarity B string.
He called the bass the "Killer B" 5 String. When the low B is played on the Tobias bass the reverse polarity string actually counter acts low B tones from other basses and calms the bees back down. The innovative idea came to Michael by accident one day when he inadvertently installed a 9 volt battery backwards in one of his 5 string basses.

Oh but I read Jimmy Johnson the inventor of the 5 string bass in 1975 had taken up bee keeping wonder what that could mean? Is it possible he made a 5 string bass in order to control the human race with bees?

The giveaway here is that he'd 'taken up bee-keeping'. James Johnson was the name adopted by none other than Sherlock Holmes on his retirement in order to throw Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (aka 'Dr. Watson') off his trail so that he could get utterly ****faced in peace.

However, his arch-nemesis Moriarty figured this out & anonymously sent 'Johnson' the plans for a 5 string that he'd stolen from the safe in John Hall's office in the hope that the enraged bees would commit the perfect murder. The plot failed since 'Johnson' had already had several run-ins with the local police because of his habit of playing NWOBHM at 3 a.m. & had to practice through headphones.

Recently release gov. documents state the Elvis Aaron Presley was not his real name he was actually his twin brother Jesse Garon Presley who was supposed to have died in the womb. The document also shows that when he was discovered he had a walkman on listening to the Beatles white album backwards. which attributed to his overdose after hearing the message "deadman" he figured some how they figured out his secret. You can't make this stuff up.

Hermann Poll claimed to have invented an instrument called the 'clavicembalum'; and the earliest known representation of a harpsichord when he found his wife's lover hiding inside his piano and enjoyed the sound it was making as he was beating him with each press of the keys :) The lover didn't survive long inside the piano sadly and Hermann didn't care much for the sound the stiff body was creating, so he had to pay a handsome sum to street urgents to have a go at it during his many recitals. Some survived to spend their money but most did not.

The basic concept is similar to the early medieval Glockenskull.

The Glockenskull was an interesting musical instrument. Proper use of it created lots of varying sounds depending on the technique used. A light touch created a shrieking sound but a heavier touch created more of a thud/crunch sound.
Here's some pics of different Glockenskulls...
This one was popular for heavy metal venues

This one used exotic tone wood and was designed with dual activators to give a bit of a chorus effect...

And this one is said to create harmonics that are to die for...
