Let's spread some musical misinformation

Your worst nightmare has come true!
Breaking News CNN.
The bass world was shaken to it's core today when the Fender factory was raided on a insider tip.
The law enforcement agents discovered a fake wall which behind it they found a large area containing many bass amps of brands not belonging to Fender this is the list

Through further investigation it was determined that all of these amps internal parts were in fact Fender! When all of these companies on the list were question, they said Fender had the rights to amp internal workings and only they could have a different outer casing, but must use Fender parts! So everyone who swears by other brands and has spent a lot more money then they needed to, are all playing Fender Rumble designed amps! Leo Say it isn't so!

Finally the Higgs boson has been found! It was not the Large Hadron Collider where it was detected. It was trapped between the magnetic pole pieces of a Fender humbucker. Scientists think it's caused by a combination of pickup placement, tuning and string construction. Top luthiers have been added to the team of scientists, in order to construct a large Higgs boson trap, litterally based on bass guitar technology.

If you can't use your pinky to fret on bass, then you are never going to amount to anything...

(Not misinformation:--I do use it but not often--although I use it a lot on guitar)
On a related note...
Of course we all know that Ringo was not the original drummer in the Beatles band. When the band first formed he was the Bass player. At rehearsal the rest of the band realized that Ringo (thats his stage name, his real name is Ludwig Zildjian ) constantly slid his fret hand position down one fret so he could depress the strings with his ring finger instead of his pinky. When he really got in the groove they would say, "Go Ring, Go!". Hence the name "Ringo" stuck.

It wasn't until a few months after the band formed that a right handed bloke with the name Paul showed up and said, "Heck, I can play that bass better backwards". The band said prove it, and that's exactly what he did. The rest of the band was so impressed they asked Paul to be their new bassist and moved Ringo to drums. The rest is history.

The bass was a Roman invention, used to scare the horses of the enemy.

The origins of the Steinberger name may come from Germany, but it is the French who are responsible for the radical designs that we so love.

In addition to having a love of musical instruments and a gift of being able to create them, Ned Steinberger was also an avid collector of replica guillotines. Ned's first attempt at creating an electric bass resulted in an appalling piece of useless junk not even worthy of being called kindling.

Ned wanted there to be zero possibility of anyone ever seeing this failure in it's full form, so he planned dice it up into tiny pieces using one of his guillotines and scatter the pieces all over the world using helium ballons.

First he cut off the headstock, and upon repositioning the instrument his eyes lit up...and the rest my friends, is history.
