"Busseto" actually means "overstuffed muffin" and is derived from Latin slang for "phat chik", which was used in a positive light given that only wealthy powerful people could afford muffins and subsequently look like one from eating too many muffins.

The Gibson instrument naming convention has long been a mystery, now the code has finally been broken!
Apparently the name given to one of their popular bass models - the EB bass - is translated as "Excellent bassist". Guitar lovers apparently didn't rate quite as high with the marketing department. The translation for the SG guitar is "Stupid guitarist", and the ES series of guitars translates to "Especially stupid".

Many bass players play six string basses at gigs, to make the gals think they too are cool guitar players.

You know, that might be the main reason for making the things. If they would have marketed them that way they may have been more popular.

The new Fender Bass VI, guaranteed to attract hot chix.

The six strings and guitarlike appearance WILL get you laid.
