Let's spread some musical misinformation

Jamerson's missing bass is said to have been seen at this boutique from time to time....

The phrase "Garage band" was first coined in 1969 when guitarist and singer Johnnie Garage started a band in his families garage on Highpoint Blvd in Bethlehem, PA. Johnnie and the Garage Band soon was shorten to The Garage band and the rest is history
you can visit the Historic site which is now a restaurant and relive the history

The Peavey T-40 has many fans, but at 12 pounds, most players wish the bass was lighter. A couple of coats of aluminum paint on the body will knock the weight down to 7-8 pounds.

This trick works great on amps and cabs too.

Another popular trick with the T-40 owners, is to use this pedal. Makes the bass much lighter. Unfortunately, it makes your bass sound like a munchkin, but it's so worth it.

One of the great mysteries of the rock musical world is whether the band Led Zeppelin was referring to an altered word of the metal Lead or simply LED lights in their name.

The answer is LED lights. They thought that a Zeppelin covered in LED lights would be pretty impressive.

They had a huge mock-up made so they could photograph it for the cover of their album.

But rookie techs did the LED installation and it caught fire, burning to the ground.

They took pictures while it was burning and this is what you see for the cover art.

You may be a beautiful person.

But it depends on how often you've been "there". Jeff Beck will be able to tell you where "there" is....because he has been "there" and back.

An easy way to tell whether you are beautiful is whether or not you keep all your money in a big brown bag inside a zoo.

Your bass must be tuned to a natural E.

People from San Francisco may not know it but at one time they were beautiful.

Before the term "rock 'n' roll" was coined there were a number of versions that didn't work....

"roll 'n' waddle"
"rock or do not rock..there is no try"
"rock 'n' tumble"
"rock 'n' go goofy"
"rock 'n' assume a non-conformist position"
"rock 'n' jitter"
"rock 'n' bubble"
"rock 'n' roll 'n' hop 'n' skip 'n' boogie"
"roll 'n' bounce"

At one time Leo Fender lobbied Washington to see if he could have the torch that the Statue Of Liberty holds replaced with a big P-bass.

But a major soft drink producer wanted it replaced with a large bottle of Cola and a major burger-maker wanted her holding a large Cheeseburger.

Policy makers got tired of the bickering and closed all debate.

Yeah, there was a proposal that she hold the bottle in her right hand, the burger in her left, and have the P strapped on. The deal was close to completion until Nike wanted to replace her robe with a Nike sports bra and running shorts. Then the whole deal fell apart.
