Yep, same goes for playing in an orchestra. If you can't play a note on key the best place to be is in an orchestra where you are surrounded by dozens of people that can compensate for your shortcomings.
Any music composed for guitar can be played on a bass.
Conversion can be simply done by shifting all notes one semi tone down.
This conversion for basses is the reason why flat notes are indicated by adding a b.
For double basses the conversion requires double flat notes, indicated by adding bb.
Bass terminolgy:-
(1) a "Clarence" is when, in a song, you play a belltone on the 12th fret immediately followed by open plucking of the same string.
