The price of a bass is determined by the number of frets, times the number of strings, times the number of pickups.
There's always a lot of buzz on TB about the quality of the player vs the value of the instrument. Many think a pro bass player will sound just as good on a Squier as a Fender American Deluxe or a pro Pianist sounding as good on a midi vs a Stienway.
Well here's two examples of players that have only been playing for a couple of years at most so they're no where near pro level but just listen to how good they can play on nice upscale instruments...
I'm gonna sell all my basses and buy a really nice Ritter, then I'll sound just as good as they do!


Yep, same goes for playing in an orchestra. If you can't play a note on key the best place to be is in an orchestra where you are surrounded by dozens of people that can compensate for your shortcomings.Choirs are for people who can't sing

A Bass player working at a cookie dough factory died in a tragic workplace accident. He lost his footing and fell into a large vat of cookie dough and was quickly pulled under and drowned. The body has yet to be found, apparently he got lost in the mix.
