Let's spread some musical misinformation

The baddies in the film were originally going to be Glue Meanies, and McCartney wrote the song Stuck On You to go with that segment. Later Michael Jackson acquired the rights and gave it to Lionel Ritchie to finally record a version

With the change from blue to yellow for the submarine the Meanies could be renamed and the song, which Lennon hated, could be dropped.

Ritchie was also offered Frog Chorus as the B side to Stuck On You but declined.
The Frog Chorus is the manfesto of the Bilderberg Group.

Many people assume "V" means volts when you're talking about batteries and electricity, and for the most part that's correct. However, in the context of guitars and basses "V" or "volts" directly translates to "volume". If you want your bass to have more volume you need more volts! It's that simple.

Add a second 9volt battery and double your volume. Plug into a normal 110 volt wall socket and you'll have 10 times more volume than that. Plug into a 220 volt socket and you'll even double that volume.

With enough high current electricity hooked up to your bass you won't even need an amp. People will hear you and your bass screaming away for blocks. As an added bonus you also get some free pyrotechnics with ultra high current levels.

I was one in a cover band - I got to cover for the guitarist, I got to cover for the singer, I even got to cover for the keyboards a few times.

In the US, cover bands are required to pay the original artist each time they play a song live although at a half rate for rehearsals. But, in Europe, original artists are required to pay cover bands each time the cover band plays a song. Although they are not required to pay for rehearsals.

The best time to write songs is when you're asleep.

Song lyrics germinate in the deep-sleep subconscious...

Set your alarm to wake you up every twenty minutes after the first hour of being asleep and then you can jot down important song-lines and ideas.

If you leave it all until the next day, you'll forget ninety five percent of everything.

Be very wary of smoke machines. They can cause stage volumes to go through the roof. Always consult your stage manager and use only rigs with sealed backs when smoke machines are in play. Otherwise, your rig and your favorite axe will go ballistic.

Leo Fender's original idea was not to make a bass at all but instead to make a slot machine called the JazzBoy Precision.

It was a slot machine that had a glass case with a model of a standup bass and a hand inside. You put a nickel in the coin-slot and you would get three minutes playing time.

There were buttons on a grid that you tapped to make the hand play certain strings and notes.

Two were actually built and given a trial run. One for the west coast and one for the east coast.

The east coast unit made a few dollars, just barely cracking a profit.
Not a single nickel was ever made by the west coast unit.
