Let's spread some musical misinformation

Panamanian Boy Scouts were, until recently, trained to use agogo bells for their Morse Code transmissions of pack comms. Sadly for the music lovers among us, this clamorous communication code, emphatically proven now to be totally useless at festivals and open mic nights, has been abandoned in favor of salsa-safe semaphore.

Salsa was a great style but has been replaced by Chipotle..

While we're on the topic of solder - if you have a neck diving bass you can balance it out by adding a bit of weight to the body. Simply resolder all your electronics with lead solder, it's much heavier than silver solder and cheaper too.

If you are in a satanic death metal band the best type of lead to use is that from the roof of the church you just burned down, although there is a risk of being struck down by a bolt of lightning during any bass solos, but then noone wants to hear bass solos and it is great pyrotechnics. Allegedly one of Spinal Tap's drummers was killed when the lightning bolt missed Derek Smalls during a solo when he bent down to adjust his distortion pedal.

You can be a bass player at a gig even if you don't play bass at all but would like to.

What matters is honesty.

When you're on stage with the band announce to the crowd that you currently don't play bass but will be buying one soon and will take to it like a duck to water.
Assure them that you will be quite good as a bass player in no time flat once you buy one.
Tell them you're an honest person and you mean what you say and would never lie about such a thing.

Now that you've established trust with the crowd, spend the rest of the set sitting on an amp and snapping your fingers to the beat, nodding approvingly when the drummer does a solo...

Neckdive on a bass is a thing of the past when you employ a gyroscopic stabilizer.

The one shown here is for a camera but can easily be adapted to bass.

Just set and forget.
