The luthiers who developed the ThunderBird originally wanted to name it Mudbird. The commercial guys, however, came up with Thunderbird. They won...
Many basses are named after cars including:
Thunderbird, Jaguar, Mustang, Corvette, Stingray.
But, others chose a different pattern. Fodera was a spelling error for a line of basses organized around hats.

Who doesn't like the cowboy/old West look?
To make your bass look like it's "old frontier West", take the strings off and hang the bass from a limb of a tree ( in a deserted area far away from town).
Take your shotgun and go through a box of shells to get that gunslinger patina.
Wear a black cowboy hat after that whenever you're playing it at gigs.
Women will swoon.

If you play a bass with effects in this order-
Reverb, echo, fuzz, chorus, wah, overdrive, auto wah, Phaser, compressor, distortion, flanger, Octaver, another distortion, another reverb, another chorus, an EHX Mel9, volume pedal, another wah, another volume pedal, a Harmonizer, a ring modulator and another echo it will sound like a ukulele, tuba & flute playing in perfect harmony.

The first wah pedal must be a Behringer, and the second a Jim Dunlop Cry Baby. It is very important to get them in the right order, especially when playing in Idaho during the month of March.
Ignoring this rule is what led to the tragic events on Mount Borah, of sinister reputation.
If you have a Crybaby Wah pedal....then the next pedal on your list will be the Baby Sh*tfit Pedal.

A joint venture of Fender and Apple announced a brand new digital instrument: The Slaptop.
The music notation is a reduced representation known as tablet.
Further on the Slaptop, Fender Slaptop strings must be purchased through the Apple Store. Apple reserves the right to automatically remove strings after 50 hours of playing. Fender offers a variety of upgrades, like Bad-Brass bridges and Drum-Buckers, through the Apple store. Chinese copies will be automatically removed by Apple.
Especially when playing at the Fizzbin Championships on a Tuesday.
Active basses are always lighter. The electronics compensate for the lack of mass.
