Let's spread some musical misinformation

The band 'America' comprised entirely Canadians, including Mr. Young initially, and also Alex Lifeson's uncle and Celine Dion's father. Leonard Cohen ghost wrote all their hits. (You have to remember there are only actually 17 musical families in Canada, so it's natural that they are all related).

Technically, he did but he was crazy hoarse at the time so no sound came out except an almost inaudible, raspy whisper. Many didn't even notice but the official diagnosis was laryngitis. Young was benched and Axl Rose was called in to ghost for him.

That's why the original version of the song was titled " Hoarse With No Aim".

If your band doesn't have a cool van, then forget it. You won't be noticed at all.

Apparently Iron Maiden were originally going to call themselves The Spinellis, but the band with the van sued them.

They also considered naming themselves after Trooper beer and did a trial run of the name Iron Railing, before finally settling on Iron Maiden.

Ahhh! I always thought Iron Maiden were a Spinellis tribute band.

Many people have heard how the USA employed Native Americans to relay coded messages in WW2, but few people remember how the French resistance used to use jazz scat singers, trained in the clubs of Paris, to achieve the same. "Do be do ski-dadally do be do wha be bop ba-ding " was the code for "The English Airmen must be moved from Renee's cafe tonight" And even fewer remember how the British PsyOps units in WW2 used to bombard German lines with endless recordings of George Formby, which probably shortened the war by at least half an hour.

The Small Faces were asked, in the 1970s, to reform to remake Ogden's Nut Gone Flake as Cadbury's Flake Gone Nut to launch a new type of chocolate confectionery which married the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate with, er, nuts. In the end the product was abandoned due to the chocolate being too flaky to bind the nuts together and sadly the album was never made and songs such as "Afterglow of your Lunch" and "Roloing Over" were never made.
