Let's spread some musical misinformation

There is some
Right, my eyesight isn't so great so I wear these thick glasses. I try to get by without them because they are so uncomfortable. I'm not sure if my bandmates even know I need glasses since I don't wear them often.
There are some who say position 5 is beneficial to eye health. Remember, you must be under the drummer, while facing the drummer. Sorry about unfinished previous post, fingers not responding properly. (since New Years eve).

Fossilized evidence recently discovered shows that early hominids were performing and recording music over 14 million years ago..

I believe she is referring to Beyonce's song "Single ladies"(put a ring on it). The song speaks to the fact that if you like it, you ought put a ring on it ( marriage!!!).:woot:

OMG! You think so? How could I be so blind?

Oh, right, I didn't have my glasses on.

So, next question, what's the best metal for this ring?

And, what do I tell the guitar player? That's her husband, BTW.

Oh, and what's a "beyonce"? Do I need one of those too? I searched the internet and found this video.

Does this mean I need to buy a leotard?

In a delay pedal 200,000,000 m of wire should be required for each second of delay, as the speed of electric signals through wire is about 200,000,000 m/s. By using very thin wire, the signal speed is significantly reduced. Due to electrical resistance, signal loss becomes an issue. Most manufacturers settle for about 50,000,000 m of 10 µm gauged wire per second delay.

They're already used in rap "music". Wait ... that's not misinformation.

The racket you hear in rap music is derived from pounding or "rapping" on what is left of a keyless piano.

An alternative theory to how rap music was so named is they "drop tuned" the piano by pushing it out of windows of increasing height and recorded the sound. With "rap" being an approximation of the sound it made when it hit the pavement below. After they ran out of pianos they had to find an alternative to this method of making the sound, one that was far cheaper to implement. So, they started spitting into their microphones.

This idea of drop tuning a piano was actually from a related process of dropping a guitar to bring it back into tune. Who first did drop tuning of pianos, and therefore created rap music, is lost in history. Those that wish to bring their guitars into tune more quickly, often after a vigorous set, will take them by the neck and pound them into the stage floor. This is much quicker than finding a sufficient height to drop tune their guitars. No one wants to put down an out of tune guitar and so the players will often drop tune the guitars before they even leave the stage.

The problem with tuning by swinging the guitar into the stage is the risk of destroying the instrument. It is far better to allow gravity to do the work but too many impatient players have lead to destroying their own instruments. Be patient and take your instrument off stage and do a proper drop tuning later. Third floor windows are best for drop tuning in my experience.

Just play dumb, that's your best bet. Unless of course, you want to get in the middle of a marital dispute. But no bass player has ever had anything to do with another persons spouse.

Wow. So, I'm the only one? Gee, guitar players must be as a group great husbands and providers if this is the first time in history that a wife moved out on them and lied to them to see the bass player alone.

Another fun fact, bass players look awesome in leotards. Anyone want me to post pictures of myself wearing one?

You've probably heard that a group of crows is called a murder and a group of dolphins is a pod, but do you know these scientific terms to describe groups of musicians?

A group of drummers is a clatter.
A group of horn players is a toot.
A group of singers is a cackle.
A group of theremin players is a twitch.
A group of keyboardists is a tickle.
A group of guitarists is a noodle.
A group of bass players is a bumble.

John Lennon's real name was John Lemon. When the Fab Four first went to the US, journalists confused him Don Lemon (father of Liz Lemon). In typically sarcastic interview style, George told the press that it was Lennon, but that there wasn't enough space, so they squeezed the n and n together. The rest is history.

Led Zeppelin wrote a song about it.
