Speaking of the Monkees, The Edge is a huge fan and owns several of Nesmith's trademark woollen hats which he often wears on stage with U2. He bought them on eBay after Mrs. Nesmith had a clear out.

Ringo's real name is widely thought to be Richard Starkey, however, that is only partly true. While his passport does indeed say Richard Starkey, that is not his birth name. In fact, his birth name is Rudolph Hess jr.. He was sired by Rudolph Hess during his imprisonment at Spandau prison. To protect his son, the elder Hess agreed to an adoption and name change.

In addition to being a modestly respected drummer during the 1960s, Richard also had a lucrative second job writing children's books under a variety of pen names including Enid Blyton, Judy Blume, Carolyn Keene, and Franklin W Dixon.

Mittens also made it really hard for lead guitarists to turn down the bass player's amp and made it unclear where in the back the bass player was supposed to go stand. Mittens didn't affect the lead guitarists amp because everything was set to 11 before the mittens went on.
