If they would have made the m9 2 rows of 4 buttons, I would have gone with that. That being said I totally like the ease of getting into the looper, changing scenes and the extra pedal options, even if I never get to the point of using the send and return, but I think at some point I will go for that LS2 and try the whole parallel thing.
If I missed you, let me know, I have been a bit preoccupied as of late, so you never know...

I had the same thoughts. But the M13 is nothing to transport. I had a canvas tote with leather locking handles (kinda like a beach tote) laying around, and it fit my M13 perfectly. If you've ever lugged around a pedalboard with more than two stompboxes on it, the M13 is nothing. I can toss it into the tote with two 15' braided cables, and off I go. 10lbs tops.
In my humble opinion, I would not let the size of the M13 affect one's choice between the M9 and the M13.

Rich Renken, I believe, once made the distinction that the M9 goes on your pedal board and the M13 *is* your pedal board.
...except the M13 NEEDS and expression pedal, and the G30 wireless just looks so nice sitting next to those.

Hey Gus. I really haven't had time to do more than try out a few effects, and kind of get an overall fix on it. My Mother took a turn for the worse on Tuesday, and passed away yesterday (Friday) afternoon. This is my therapy.

I'm using the M9 now with a X&M from SFX and have it in the "high" channel. I'm going to love this thing more and more, because now the overdrives/distortions are really usable.
So I have a question for people using the m9, specifically for looping.
when you use the looper, create a loop. then you want to add another layer, but with different effects, is it possible to turn the effects on/off and then go back to the looping function of the pedal all with the loop still playing?

I thought that a pedal could not be used as volume control while effects are on?
Yeah it can, bare in mind it can control the volume of an effect as well so if you have a distortion on you don't need to have a volume pedal on as well you can just set the expr to adjust the volume on the distortion effect.
One thins I love is I can set an overdrive to:
Heel Postion: Low gain overdrive unity volume
Toe Position: High gain overdrive unity volume
So as I push the pedal up the gain increase and the volume decreases meaning I can get a true expr controlled dirt pedal unlike the badly implemented options on analog pedals.
You can get a hell of a lot of tones with this one pedal setup like this.
Thanks for all the tips guys! I just bought one and upgraded -the bass octaver is a great effect, and I'm looking forward to delving into all the sounds and setting up scenes.
After doing some research, I ordered one of these to try out with my M13. Thanks for the heads up!
