As long as a Filter isn't important, go for it. The Octaver is amazing,
The Tube Comp (for me) is always on, found a great Chorus, and I have
2 Synth settings that I use a lot.
Just can' find a filter that works for me. But I wouldn't trade my M9 for any thing.

My M13 came on the brown truck today!!! Lemme have one of dem numbers!

It would have to be, it's such a massive volume boost.
I like the sound of it too but I have to waste another patch afterwards resetting the volume. I wish they'd test this stuff properly before they put it out.
Well, I been back a fee days, how is everyone with their little M-devices? I will hopefully be spending some quality time with mine tomorrow night.
I just used my M9's octaver patch on a session that needed low Bb notes. It worked really well. Still exploring sounds and having fun!

Tube comp is my favorite compressor on this thing, and is always on. I think I heard the M13 does not have it, is this true? What are you using for your synth patches?
M13s needed updated to the newest firmware to have the tube comp. Mine has it, it is really good.
As far as filters, the filters are pretty decent provided:
A. You find the right input volume for the filter. I have found that all of my basses get better responses out of most of the effects with a reduced volume.
B. You are more of a peaky filter with a blend guy instead of a throbby low filter kind of guy. I found 1 setting (literally, just one) with a decent throb to it, but it isn't as present as the one on my Qtron+.

Well I had the house to myself this morning and plugged up the M13. It is better than I expected.
I can see there are alot of things I can tweak to my liking.
I have always used effects live but sparingly, has to fit in a church setting, but I can tell the M13 has opened a few doors for me.
Well back to the music room...I'm feeling kinda funky right now.

Dear Talkbass, please help me. I am a gear whore.
I like the M13, but it was too big to take with me most of the time. The M9 is going to be a compliment for my Pedaltrain Mini. I have the core tone pedals on the pedalboard and most of the time, that's all I'd ever need. But if I need something funky, that's where the M9 will fit in.
PS - I'm extremely happy with the EBS pedals.

i am ditching my LS-2 to something a bit compact, the issues is that LS-2 has adjustable volume to balance out the volume drop on the m9. is there anyway i can adjust the overall volume of the m9 without pushing the "output" in the effects?

Loving this thing, but it's going to get me into a lot of trouble. It's going to need and expression pedal. If I do that, then I might as well get two. And a master volume pedal. Then I'll need a board to haul it all around. And cables to wire everything up. And a Stereo head to take advantage of the stereo options. And more cabs. An an M13 for parallel processing and the extra looper.
And Talent.
Major trouble.

Anybody else?Well bro I'm loving the M13. Its bigger than what I thought it would be but thats not an issue for me.
The sounds I'm playing with are totally usable to fill in some sonic space. I am really impressed with the layout and ease of use also. Kudo's to Line 6 for this one.
BTW...If yall don't here from me in a few days call the Five-O because my guitar buddies will probably knock me off to get their hands on it!
