Borrowed black-faced Fender Bassman driving a single 15" no-name.

Fender Twin Reverb driving a Music Man 212RH

Black-faced Bassman driving the MM 212RH

Music Man HD-130 driving the MM 212RH

MM HD-130 driving Yamaha S115

MM HD-130 driving home-made Theile/Small 1x15 and/or homemade 15" folded horn box.

MM HD-130 driving a Fender Bassman small 2x12 box.

Yamaha B-100 III driving any of the MM 212RH, T/S 1x15, 15" folded horn, or a Fender Dual Showman with two 15" JBLs

Peavey TB Raxx and M-3000 driving any of the above speakers

Yamaha B-100 III and/or TB Raxx/M-3000 driving eithe one or two Guild/Hartke 4x10

Peavey Mk IV driving the Hartkes, or one of the Hartkes and the folded horn box.

Peavey Pro-Bass 1000/M-300 or CS-400 driving the Hartkes. Later I also had a Hartke 4.5 XL and a 210 XL.

Then the same with a Hartke 3500 driving the speakers.

Eden WT-400 driving the Hartke 4.5 and 210XL stack.

Eden WT-400 driving an Eden D410XLT (4 ohm). Later added a D212XLT for a different sound. Then I got a QSC PLX-1202 so I could use both cabs at the same time. Then I found another WT-400 and used one to drive each cabinet.

Eden WT-600 with the Eden boxes.

Eden WT-600 driving a pair of E/A VL-208s.

I also did a few gigs with other folk's stuff. A GK-800 RB mounted in a home-made box with a Peavey Black Widow 18 and a pair of Hartke aluminum 10's was interesting, but really lacking in mids. I used an Acoustic 360 with the folded horn for an open-mic once way back in 1976. It was so quiet on stage and the rest of my band kept telling me to turn up. After we did our four or five songs I had it cranked up pretty well. The guy who owned the rig later told me that he was getting into watching his beer mug dance across his table...

1974 - Peavey 400 series head w/Peavey 2-15 cab. Added an EVM-18B in a home built EV cab about 1980. Played that through 1982, sold everything..

1988-89 - Peavey Mark IV w/Peavey 2-15" cab (EV Forces, not a good match.. besides, it wasn't mine..)

1998 - Ampeg SVT3, self designed/built 2-12" and 4-10"/1-18" cabs.

2002 - Sold the SVT3, went with a solid state BBE Bmax and a Carvin DCM600 w/the above cabs. Pretty much abandoned the big speakers, running the 2-12"s.

Next will be a Fitzmaurice cab or two, either an Omni15TB or a pair of Omni 12TB's w/10"s..

Ampeg BA115HP Combo. Still use it every Sunday at church.

BBE Bmax/QSC GX5 Head W/ Avatar B210 Delta & 212 Neo Cabs. I usually just use the 210.

Peavey Combo 115 W/ TVX 210 Cab this was my main rig from 12/05 to 7/06 and it worked quite well and sounded great with my Sansamp BDDI.

SWR 750X W/ 4X10 Goliath III (provided by the headlining bass player)

Eden WT800 and Eden 4 X 10 cab. This was a backline/rental amp that my company owned. I never liked that thing. Just found nothing special about it that made it worth the money.

Ampeg SVT-CL and Classic 8 X 10 cab. Another rental backline unit that I used to fill in for a friends classic rock cover band. I loved that thing but it was over kill for anything I ever played live. It sold within an hour when we got rid of our back line gear.

Ah, nostalgia. A highly condensed summary:

For starters:
Ampeg 1x10" combo amp

First gig amps:
Acoustic 130 (?) head with Acoustic 301 1x18" cab
Acoustic 360/361 stack
Ampeg SVT heads and cabs (best! :bassist:)

Since the mid-80's I've used a ton of gear, mostly rack rigs with the occasional head (AMP BH420). For the past five years I've been using Bergantino cabs nearly exclusively.

Currently I am GAS free. :hyper: I believe my rigs are in my profile. :)
