a bass is just wood and metal and plastic and bone and steel and copper and yada yada. it can't have "mojo" if it doesn't get some kind of power. if you play it in a certain way: maybe it gets some power/mojo. but an abused instrument, or a knock off relic job isn't power: it's a trick = opposite of mojo. it's a substitute (intended for the gullible) for the real thing. if you want a bass to ever have mojo: you have to play it until it has real power! the effort may, or may not be, successful. the look of the thing has nothing to do with it.I'm clearly in the minority here
