to me, the neo 8's sound nowhere near as good.

ymmv, etc.
42 ain't bad. it ain't featherweight, but, i personally would rather not lose sonic ground on this one. they're small. it's fine with me. again, ymmv.

I just talked to Don the other day about some new Neo 8"s that have just come out....and the price is nuts. I think he quoted me somewhere close to the $300 range each.

I may go with a regular 4X8 later. Just to round off my 15/6 I am having built.

Cheers,
BT

That's a much smaller box than mine; and, I have no experience with those particular drivers.

4 ohm per doesn't bother me, and in fact it's my preference; I have both stereo and two ohm ready rigs.

I have had this just under three months and cannot say enough good things about it..

900 Watts.
8 Ohms.
HF Horn w/crossover
36" H x 20" W x 16" D
4 10" Neos
Weighs 68 pounds.
Tilt Back Casters, Top handle and Two Side Handles.

Sounds great to my ears, especially since it's a bit taller than conventional 410s. I can hear myself and that's a big plus.

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose to go with 8 ohms instead of 4 ohms? Are you powering this in bridged mono with a standalone amp?

Cool lookin' 410 ya got there. And hearing yourself is definitely a plus. :D

TMW... you stole my idea... kinda. ;)

I actually drew up my own designs for 210 and 410 cabs. I was going to have Don build them for me eventually. My 410 sketches look very similar to yours (a little different, but the same basic idea). At least I know its doable. He already built my 210.

My original plan was to use this as a rehearsal cab, and Don and I discussed it at length. Since I already had a 610 for any stage and outdoor gigs, the 8 Ohm version would be sufficient for my needs.

I use a Thunderfunk 550-B to power this.

I'm totally lusting after an LDS built fEarful 15/6... but I'm wondering about how much scratch we're talking about.

I know I could contact Don, but I'd like to get a ballpark figure before I go wasting his time to find out if it's even close to within my budget.

So anyone who has had a 15/6 style cab, please if you don't mind drop me a PM about the price range on one of these.
