I'm sitting here with Don and I just had the honor of giving this cab a quick test prior to Don shipping today.
OK, I'll tell you what... I like virtually all of Don's cabs, and love some. I LOVE this one!!! SMOKING lows, very present mids, and plenty of treble (which of course can be dialed up or down with the heavy duty attenuator). And the 'look' is amazing... and not that heavy... 85 pounds (lighter than most 410's).
This is a 2 x 3015LF / 2 x 18Sound 6.5, crossed over at 800hz. Back rails, built in heavy duty castors, amazing 'snakeskin tolex', heavy duty grill, etc.... and a unique option that I'll show in a follow-up post. This cab is BIG sounding, but as articulate as a 110.. no flub, no mud, but it HAMMERS, even with my little Markbass F1.

Okay, now I have to have one of my own!
I didn't really have time to do the whole clip thing, but trust me, it sounds amazing. The super big low end wouldn't have really come through with my little recorder anyway. I originally thought the dual 6.5's might be a bit much, but it is just balanced beautifully. Ralf Patterson did an amazing, amazing job with the crossover... just smooth and seemless. I assume he padded the 6.5's down just a touch, because they really sound balanced at the noon attenuator setting.

Don had to work on this. The cupholder is in a very small box inside the cab, carpeted in and out... so it is isolated from the box itself. Also, Don used polyfill around the outside of the box for a kind of triple isolation thing. He said it was much more complicated than he would have thought!

Hi KJung. There appears to be a little confusion. Although I appreciate the update, I am not Fred. I'm Constantine. I did, however, put down money for several orders of 2x15, 2x6.5 that appear to be close to the design of that cab (minus the snakeskin and cupholder as well), though I have to contact Mr. Oatman soon to hear what he has planned. Most likely Wednesday, as I have an exam tomorrow I am preparing for (so of course I'm spending my study break on TB...I am, like so many here, an addict of this forum.) Thanks again, I'm happy to hear it turned out so well.

No worries. I appreciated the update. My cabs will be close to this, with the exception of a slot type port as opposed to the circle ports. I was thinking that, since I'll probably stack them lengthwise, it'd be better for the ports to line up, no?
I don't think the design of the port is that big of a deal, as long as it is done correctly. You should be more than fine with the slot port! I think Don used those four big tube ports to try to keep the cab a little smaller, since there was a lot of unused space on the baffle with that particulary design.
