Another good thought, but I play mostly passive basses and it happens with them.
If my 15/6/1's end up being as awesome as I think they're going to be, I'm considering having Don build me a 12/6/1 with a 1U airhead, then having Putnam Guitars do the 1U rack mod + 500 watt ICE power amp module treatment to my VT-Bass and slapping it into the airhead section. That'll cover all of my smaller gigs and studio work in one easy to lift package!
Putnam Guitars is doing all sorts of mods to people's VT's. Adding DI's, mutable tuner outs, changing the form factor to a 1U rack style preamp, phantom power operation, etc.
Recently they've started offering a mod to combine the popular 1U mods (as listed above, minus phantom power operation) and combine them with one of two ICE power amp modules. If I'm not mistaken, these are the same power modules used in the GK MB2-500 and some of the Genz Benz stuff as well. You can see more info and pricing at: http://www.putnamguitars.com

Yeah, it really had me excited, but I decided that I needed more power for my primary rig (thank you Crown XLS

I can’t make it get loud enough with my 400+ so I need to have Don do a cab for the toob head.
I just wish I could decide what to have built. A light weight 810 sounds cool but I think I’d go with two single 15’s with the 3015 non-lf drivers in it if I was sure I could get enough spl with the 400+. Decisions decisions

If you want a single cab I'd go with a pair of 3015's and a horn with an on/off switch.
Another cab like yours ought to make the 400+ fine though. A pair of them with the ability to turn up the midrange driver should be easily close to an SVT-8x10 in sensitivity (not quite there, but close).

I'm thinking about what cab(s) for my 400+ as well. It did not play well with my Carvin LSx1503 when it was stock; it's better and even giggable now that the cab has a 3015LF installed. The head seems to be calling out for a multi-speaker cab, however. I'm thinking of a Carvin LSx1523 with two 3015's- with the 2 15s the LF speakers won't be necessary. It would be interesting to see what Don could do along the lines of 2x15 +2x6.5 +horn. Vlad 335 built a fEarful 2x15 along these lines that appears awesome.
Waiting for delivery on my cab... couldn't have been mine you tested as I ordered the cab unloaded so I can add my own xover and drivers.... unless yall loaded it up for kicks and grins. But I'm stocked you like the way Don builds these cabs - can't wait to get my hands on mine.
