This may be true but is it worth learning that THIS virus may be different? This is a big deal - perhaps overpublicized but still more dangerous than the cold virus. I can buy anything Fender has to offer for less money than 20 minutes in a hospital emergency room.

This may be true but is it worth learning that THIS virus may be different? This is a big deal - perhaps overpublicized but still more dangerous than the cold virus. I can buy anything Fender has to offer for less money than 20 minutes in a hospital emergency room.
Uncertain but unlikely. That's not impossible, but sounds improbable.

I've got zero concerns about cov19 being included in the packaging but if I catch it and die, I'll update here. 
I really can't fathom how anyone can sell and ship basses all over the world for less than price of the strings on the bass. There has to be something up with this...
Labor, parts, strings, paint, packaging, shipping...

I’d be far more worried about catching hepatitis, which can survive in the right room temperature conditions for nearly a month, by some estimates. The basses being shipped should be free of anything that will kill you on contact. I still wouldn’t lick one.
I’m far more curious about how and why they’re unloading these instruments at that price. Is it to collect the data of the purchasers? Is it an effort to drive other budget-level companies out of the market? Does the company just need to clear warehouse space and/or generate some cash flow for financial reporting.
It is intriguing.
China Post has special rates that are ridiculously inexpensive to ship from China. Going back the other way is a different story. In all likelihood the government subsidizes international post as an added incentive to price things going out as attractively as possible.
Hadn’t thought about it, but it could be like recycling shipping. Boats don’t just ship one direction. If they transport goods to one shore, they need to flip around and go back to the port of origin. I’ve heard that it once was arranged that China would ship containers to the US, then the boats would go back “empty.” Someone figured out how to arrange it so materials would ship to China on the return voyages. A few years ago China was more aggressive about purchasing recyclable materials and the boats would load up on US recycling to send over on those return voyages.
Someone has a supply chain figured out. The boats have to travel and having available space becomes a waste of fuel and time.
Well, I just ordered ordered 2.... white and burst. Worth the risk me thinks. Funny thing is, Ebay has the expected delivery date as April 1st... HA! go figure.

Good point. Maybe just blowing these out for cost.
Perhaps they made too many and decided that with the coronavirus this was the right time to get rid of excess inventory. Ive paid way less than cost for high end Aguilar products and no one at the time said they refused to order because it was a scam. But they were pissed after when they realized it wasn't.

Crap I did it again... I added a saxophone to the list... not for me. One of my daughters misses playing sax...
Got a message saying one of the two I ordered yesterday has shipped. Unfortunately that was the green strat not the bass. It has a tracking number but the shipping is China Post. Googling to how to track a China Post package gives a myriad of suspect links. Still waiting to see what happens.
What is the tracking number, out of curiosity? Mine was created on the 22nd, before I bought it, I'm wondering if they gave everyone the same one...
