Wow, I must say I am surprised by people on a bass website thinking that people who use drugs should be disposed of. Many of the greatest artists, writers and musicians in western history were not only users but severe addicts. Without people who use drugs we might all be sitting at home shedding Lawrence Welk tunes. Not the bass existence I want. :smug:

Kind of a blanket statement, though. I didn't say disposed of, I'm pretty sure I didn't even say anything close to that. I said "shouldn't be supported by taxpayers". How very close-minded of you.

I honestly think men have enough sperm count. There are over 40 million sperm in a normal ejaculate. A total count below 40 million may indicate decreased fertility. Seriously? I smoke cigs, have a laptop on my lap, use a cell phone, wear tight pants sometimes, and am cannabis friendly. I have one daughter, and another one on the way. How many do you need?

If it was 1 cell phone, a basic phone, the government does that. 2 IPhones and a Droid, and a 3 bedroom house for herself and the taxpayers are footing the dime? Yes, I do have a problem with that. So should you. It's public assistance, not public fund your life.

As far as contraceptives, I'm not the pope, I'm not Catholic, but nor am I Planned Parenthood. You want to get off, great - learn how to either give yourself a good handjob or get a girlfriend or boyfriend with a job. Should you pay for IVF for someone? Viagra for someone? What's the difference? We shouldn't be paying for any of that crap.

The second part was brought up because you said smoking is akin to killing. I was wondering if you said that because of a disdain for Marijuana or because your against contraceptive.

Well, one of the parents for the kids that I fostered back a while ago was on child no. 17...and she wanted more. Again, 1-2, I have no problem with, Octomom...yeah, I'd have a problem...

I'm not against contraception at all. I think (especially as a foster parent who has to pick up the human wreckage and hope to form them into functional people) that if people would give SERIOUS thought to having kids, instead of going like bunnies, there wouldn't be as much of a neglected kid issue or abused kid issue as there is. That being said, I still don't think the state should provide unlimited contraception. Planned Parenthood does provide condoms for the asking (at least they did when I was 17 and broke), but other than that, I'd have to look at it as a case-by-case basis, not as a blanket statement.

You get used to it. Right now, counting my foster kids I have 5 kids in my house. My wife's eldest, our two, and two half brother foster kids. If you had asked me back when it was just the eldest, how would you deal with 2 kids, I would have laughed....now I have a whole brood of kids and believe it or not, when we only have a few with us (due to school or whatever), it's actually kind of dull....but we're getting seriously OT, so if you want to talk more, PM me on it - I'll be happy to talk about it.

and the second people start bashing my beliefs and calling me one thing or another, i check out.

ive had this argument a million times and it either ends in a thread closing, or the mods letting people take a **** on the only thing i believe in.

there is no militant action being taken. i do not cause others harm. make all the assumptions you want.

but let it be known that if i take taking a big steamy load on your precious religious beliefs, id get thrown out of here in a second. dont even get me started on jesus.

im out of here.
