Did you add the second pickup to the Sledgehammer? Never seen one with 2 before.I guess since you’ve asked...
All of mine have maple fingerboards...seems to be what I like, end of story.

Squier VM Tele Special (Modded)
...one of the more recent 70s Precision Basses when they were still MIJ...
I think it's a Cabronita with some decals on the body.
Yes...added all those extra switches and knobs, tooDid you add the second pickup to the Sledgehammer? Never seen one with 2 before.
Never seen a blue P quite like that. What's the story on that lovely finish?
It's a MIM Cabronita that I modified stealing some details from @God's Favorite Bass and installing a string thru bridge and TV Jones ThunderBlade. The hand painted pinstripes are compliments of the legendary Dauber Farr.

Actually, the whole reason I got into this thread is because of your bass! I was wondering if it was MIJ. My post is definitely US-centric, but I have lived in Japan, from 1982-88 and again from 2002-06. I love Fender Japan stuff, they were great basses in the '80s when I was a teenager and I still have a strong affection for them. Not sure what you're saying here. The bass I showed in post #1 is a 70s reissue Fender P, and was made in Japan in 2017.
Where did you buy yours?

They introduced the "70s P-Bass" in the US around 2011 (There's a thread here) - production moved to Mexico by 2012. Sometime between 2012-2015 they stopped importing stuff from Japan to the US (and a thread on that here). I don't think the Classic Series 70s P-Bass has been available here for a few years, but I'm definitely willing to believe they produce similar models in Japan - I used to love checking out the Ikebe website for some of the interesting stuff they'd produce, like Billy Sheehan inspired Precisions.
