Well, there's worse hot dog-influenced objects.
This year's NAMM was a bust. Not much new. Truth is, while most mfgs are standing still, MarkBass keeps moving forward in an effort to please the player. I applaud their aggressiveness and vision. If you don't like it, go get your SVT. IMHO, there is not another mfg who sticks their neck out in spite of frivolous criticisms by the ignorant.
I'll take the recommendation of world class players over those who dismiss a product because they don't like the color.

The demise of SWR was simply that Fender bought them and that took away all the coolness.
No one here has commented on the tone. If they don't like the looks there's nothing wring with saying they don't like the looks.
You're right, because no one has even heard it. Nope, nothing wrong with not liking the looks, but to dismiss the product without experiencing it means you're not giving your ears a chance.

We don’t live in a world with only Markbass and SWR. A lot of other choices out there. I guess you’ve heard it?

No, I get your point. But I don't think you get my point. You're saying that we're slamming it without hearing it, but we're slamming the looks. The layout and graphics are terrible. Markbass has never been good in the looks department, but this amp said "hold my beer". You're defending the amp based on its sound without hearing it. It may sound great, but there are many other great sounding amps out there that this amp will be competing with. Markbass does its thing, but it doesn't interest me. I won't give the amp a try. If this is the best they can do on the front of the amp, I don't even want to see what's inside.
The looks don't bother me. I desire a solid, reliable, well functioning amp.

The opinions of most on this thread seem to be less than impressed. I think it’s not a good looking amp, but also functionally cluttered when many of the features would do better on the back of the amp. I guess they called the 58R series “revolutionary”. Maybe this is the revolutionary part?
I have no idea how it sounds and, fwiw, I didn't care for the previous Littlemarcus head. I had the 800 watt version and sent it back. So, I'm not recommending anything other than give something a try. It may be amazing! It may be terrible. If it is amazing, it'd be a shame to miss out. That's all I'm saying. That said, you have every right to dismiss it based upon it's looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and some will love it. Others like yourself will throw up their lunch. See, we're not far off from each other. Just coming from different ends of the spectrum.
My Littlemark III was an amazing amp, IMHO, until it gave up the ghost. But I got 12+ years of HEAVY use out of it.
So, I'll always give MarkBass a try. But I want to HEAR it before I decide. And I'm not sold on them exclusively. I also own Mesa and Aguilar. They're both excellent as well. So, I agree there are many choices these days. Aren't we the lucky bunch?
Looks too cartoonish and cluttered. Of course if it sounds killer none of that matters.
