Not surprising, that old workhouse was a nice amp.

I came directly from a Thunderfunk TFB420 to the LMII and they're more similar than different, the LMII just gets louder more effortlessly and doesn't seem to get in the way of my basses. Exactly what I want.

I used the LMII/Nahas stack again last night. 400 person room. Still makes me grin from ear to ear. We did a long Jazz set and I used the new semihollow Brubaker six and the tone was perfect. The only minor nit I have is with the output of the Audere preamp, it's not very hot in two of the three impedance positions. Almost felt like a passive bass. Sounded great. OTOH when I switched over to the heavy Ash blackburst Brubaker six it hit like a jackhammer and the headroom with my rig was intoxicating. I was doing deadnote and palm mute fills that mimiced the kick drum amazingly well. The overall sound still doesn't make sense considering the size of the rig.

I still have both of my AMP BH420s, a Gibson GB440 and TFB420, they still sound great... but I guess I've gotten spoiled showing up with my amp in a handbag;)

A friend of mine runs the 1001 through a Bag End D10BX-D deep coax 210 and it sounds incredible... which is very annoying because I sold him the cab shortly before I bought the LMII.

I've hooked this up and it's sounded awesome, but if it'd "work" or not of course depends on how crazy loud you get on stage. With only two drivers, there are limitations, of course, but tonally, that little rig can do a LOT, and it will have a lot more output that most would think for it's size.

after 5 mintues of calling my local GC and having everyone tell me it wouldnt be on sale, the manager finally went to 'research' and called me back in 30 minutes saying that Markbass is indeed going to be on sale.

Only GC. They have an exclusive. I think you might be thinking of someone who bought one from a Canadian dealer that ships to the US. No domestic warranty on those, however.

I just picked up a LMII at my local GC...due to a friendly hookup, I was able to get the 20% off coupon applied today, so Mark Bass should absolutely be included in the sale.

Interestingly, I actually paid $400.99 for the amp, and $79.99 for an 2-year extended warranty...opting out of this extended warranty was not an option.

The reason for this was explained as Mark Bass being an Italian company, there is no transferrable domestic warranty, even though it's sold as new(?)...in lieu of a factory warranty, GC has a "policy" of including the 2-year extended warranty.

This was the Roseville, MN store, FWIW...YMMV.

I traded emails with my local (Nashville) GC manager, and he says they are not offering the 20% off on Markbass, but that he will give me 20% worth of other free gear.

I wish GC could get things consistent across stores on this issue.

I'm still not quite sure I want to buy anything, but I was thinking of nabbing a LMII. With the generous return policy, I could try it out and really compare it to my other amps, especially the NeoPak 3.5 that I really love.

Who knows ...

That's really too bad.

I plan to do the same once i pick up my LMII on Friday. Been waiting a whole week, and in the meantime my 700RB-II suddenly starts giving me a sound that I really like.
