Markbass... wow.

Got to play through the smaller 112 combo and the SD800 through the 610. I was most impressed with the little 112 combo. Man, what a killin little combo.

Peter, is the larger 112 combo available in the US? Why is the extension 112 cab not available here? Is there any chance that Markbass may be coming out with a 212?

I have to say that I was very impressed with the speakers. They really are perfect with the Markbass amps. It seems that every minor change on the eq really comes through with these cabs. I also didn't think I'd like a cab with neo speakers....not the case here. I'm hoping more of their cabs will be available in the future here. I'd love to get some for live use. Very, very cool stuff.

The CMD 121H combo (and the cabinet version, the Traveler 121H) are not yet available in the US.
They will be eventually (when, I can't tell you) but our priority is to get Markbass products spread out across the US. Once we have the stores stocked with the starting lineup of models, we will build up with more selection.

I've heard quite a lot of interest in a Markbass 2x12 cabinet, and have been passing this on to Marco. It's certainly on his radar, and he did make a 2x12 back in the Audiophile days.
I can't say for sure whether it's upcoming, but I will let you know as soon as I hear anything!

Glad you're enjoying the Markbass stuff!

Cheers,
Peter

Yeah I saw that combo in the store tonight tagged at $799 also saw the LMII which I picked up with the one hand I have that isn't currently in a brace. I had the salesperson check to see if GC had the LM250 listed in their computer system and the answer was no 8(

Peace,
S

It's good to know what items not currently stocked by GC are of interest to you guys. So feel free to let me know here or by PM.
So far in this thread I'm hearing 121H combo and cab, and LM 250.

cheers,
Peter

And that was - still is! - one heck of a nice 2x12. I own two of them (the Ernie Bass Music Man Audiophile HD-212's), plus one HD-210, and they are fantastic (though very heavy) cabs. A lighter version that sounds similar would be highly attractive, methinks. :)

Just thought of something- on the mini 1x12 combo, the head faces up. How do you access the effects loop that's on the back of it? There's no pictures of the rear of the combo on the MarkBass site.

There's an opening at the back of the amp. You have to turn the combo face-down in order to access it.

Hey Peter - are there any Micromarks or Markacoustics available anywhere (USA, Canada or any other country) in 110v? If not, when? Thanks!

Both should be in Canada pretty soon (is that vague enough to not get me in trouble? ;) ) but the US will be later. I'll keep you posted, but feel free to check in by PM in a few weeks.

Cheers,
Peter

I tried one at the La Mesa Guitar Center - 800 head and the 6x10 cab and it was too dark sounding for me. Nice stuff and the weight is great but I think I'll stick with my current rig. (Aguilar AG500/Whappo Jr.)

To repeat what Barroso said make sure the VLE and the other V__ knobs were all the way down.

I hated what they did on the LMII. Mucked the sound up really far from what I like. I had it going into the single 15 cab they had there.

I may try again on Saturday.

The LM250 should also be available soon in Canada, I'll keep you posted. Also, we're coming out with 4 ohm versions of our 10" speaker cabinets (the STD 104HF, STD 104HR, STD 102HF and Traveler 102P).

The Micromark won't ever have an external speaker out. It's a 4 ohm unit and uses all its 50W for itself. It's loud!

Cheers,
Peter

The Nashville GC has them, and I am blown away. I bought the Little Mark II head. It only weighs six pounds. When I tried it out through one of the Mark Bass 15's I was really impressed. I had to take it home with me. It was on $599 and weighs 6lbs. It is perfect for some of the travel shows I don't want to take the SVT out on. Anyways, I get it home and plug it into my Ampeg 410 and it sounded amazing. It is rated 300watts at 8ohms. I decided to pull out my Ampeg 115 as well to go along with it. OMFG..........That six pound piece of heaven was shaking everything. (500watts 4ohms). I am seriously thinking of getting ride of my 76 SVT and buy another Markbass head. Please go try it out.

Pete, I tried the Markbass 112 combo at the Hollywood GC yesterday... played a EBMM Dual Bucker sterling through it... AMAZING combo. The Markbass delivered POWER! That thing put out so much bass I left the Sterling pretty much flat... the Markbass gave me all the bass I wanted with a powerful punch (even set flat).

A dude right next to me tried to figure out that jumbled mess of an Ampeg rack they had there... I tried helping him, but we couldn't figure it out. I just suggested he head over to the Markbass stacks and just work with those... he went, and I saw him there until I left! :D

Great product dude.
