Maybe $10k for a Fodera ain't so bad?

And that's why I picture you stopped on the street in the big city, head back, mouth open, staring in awe and disbelief at all them big skyscrapers.

One last thing, I promise :D
I'd rather be in awe of engineering marvels than be in an aeroplane and wonder why I'm not getting there faster, disregarding the fact I'm doing what man has dreamt of since the dawn of man, flying.

I know you picked this fight with someone else. Call it a 'friendly debate' if you will, but it's a fight. Just putting my 2 cents to good use for a change.

If you ever have played a fodera you know that the 10K price tag is worth it. Probably the nicest sounding, easiest to play basses I have ever tried. If i had the money I would for sure get one.

Have you ever thought about how many people played a 10K Fodera and felt that it wasn't worth it?

And some people who don't like Fodera's for what ever reason can easily afford one if they want.

No 10k bass is worth it to every one that plays it.

And no I'm not bashing Fodera(I own a 5 string Imperial).

Well that's not a very nice thing to say at all. What exactly do you mean by 'hick'?

You're right, I'm not very nice sometimes. When I say "hick" I'm talking about the small minded, absolutist attitude of the AcidFraps of the world. If you share it that's your prerogative. Being a hick doesn't have anything to do with where you choose to live.

Got a problem with country life? That is, unless you have your bug repellant, 30 changes of shoes for different surfaces and a GPS for a weekend out of the city, only to run back come Sunday. I'm not judging you, I'm proving that it ain't nice to judge.

Wise. Betting on my survival outta the city with just my boots and a knife would be one you'd loose.

I didn't come looking for a fight. But damned if I'll let small minded ignorance that attacks me personally slide. That said enough bandwidth has been wasted and I'm done here. Sorry if I offended you or any other country dwellers with "hick".

See, I COULD spend this post attacking you for your mis-spelling of my name and calling you illiterate, and so on... but I choose not to.
See?

And, dude, face it, you're salty as hell.

If you wanna call me illiterate for intentionally misspelling your screen name be my guest.

Um....not really. But I'm not sure I want to know how yer mind works. Actually I'm sure I don't.

And, dude, face it, you're salty as hell.

Yep, and you're sharp as the edge of town.

You are the one coming in with the silly opinion, not him. Don't try to play it off like he's crazy. (The teenage sarcasm doesn't help.)

And I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding about what illiterate is.

Hey, you couple of guys arguing: there's a feature on this site called PM. If the intimacy doesn't scare you, it'd help me waste less time checking on the thread for comments of substance.

Now, I've either given you a way out of this posturing, or a common enemy. Either way, the thread wins. :)

I can't see bringing out a $5,000 bass to make $100 a night playing "Sweet Home Alabama" in a dive bar.

These high rollers that have a guy call their guy and they end up flying across the country to play one gig, sure I'm cool with them playing a $5,000 bass.

since i know guys who are in name rock bands who also play door jazz gigs and use the same instrument for whatever they play, i'm not sure this criteria is pertinent.

one's decision about what one plays isn't necessarily about the money being made.
