Meet Grace, and her bass

I know. Every time I see the one where I first handed her the bass, I just get a big grin on my face.
Like I said before, after I presented her with the bass, she wouldn't let go of my hand for the next 20 - 30 minutes.
Thanks again to Eric (Bassic83) for making this girl so happy!
Also way late to the thread, but Eric and Jeff, kudos to you both!
I also have Spina Bifida, but am what most people call one of the lucky ones. My case is a mild one and I only have problems if I bend and stoop too much.
However, it is people like Grace who really are putting a good face on having a disability. Almost to a T, everyone I know with some sort of disability is an upbeat and inspiring person. Smart and daily accomplish things that many other "healthy" people do not. I am thrilled to see it pointed out that those of you with children with a disability or that have one yourself are pointing out the positives in a disabled persons life.
I hope that Grace makes good use of her gift from you two, and shows her gift from God when she plays. I also hope that her accomplishments inspire many more people!
And yes, I think I have some dust in my eye too......

Great story. I really think this should be passed on. Everyone who has had a brighter day because of this should make an effort to pass the gift of music on to another who is need. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for my music teachers, and I mean that in the broadest sense. There is so much knowledge in these boards that it should be manditory that any thread that goes beyond three posts of bickering needs to be redeemed by three random acts of dispersing bass knowledge. Big ups to living the dream guys. This is what it's all about. Music can change lives.

Since there seems to be so many willing to contribute, how about we set up a 'fund' where TBer's can contribute cash, gear, and other bass related items and put someone with a big heart say, oh I don't know, maybe Embellisher or Bassic or a board of directors, in charge of reviewing cases like these where we, as a group, can assist someone less fortunate. I suppose it wouldn't even need to be bass related as long as a need is met. Would be cool to have it music related though. It's something you keep for life, more than just hardware.
In any case, thinking of others sure seems to bring out the positive in everyone. Well done, now we can all share in what Grace felt when she received this wonderful gift.
