After being the bald, goateed guy for 15 years, I've recently given up shaving. I'm sick of trying to make myself look good. My son claims it makes me look more approachable. Go figure.
I look like I live on the streets, no knock against street dwellers intended. My head looks as though I installed a heat lamp in my bathroom ceiling and stood on a stool to dry my head. I can count the weak-looking hairs attempting to grow up there, because there ain't many.
When it moves due to a breeze, I literally jump out of my skin. It's like a life form growing on my head and it's scares me to feel anything move up there after years of chromeness.

I wear red plaid coats 10 months out of the year, the trunk of my car always has a hockey stick in it, I drink beer, I hunt for some of my food and a razor has not touched my face in 10 years.
For work reasons, I at least keep it uniform but no way in hell will the cold January wind touch the skin on my chin!

I've got a grey goatee which my wife and kids say makes me look distinguished, but other than that I prefer the clean-shaven look. Also, growing facial hair is real itchy and drives me nuts, but that might be a function of my ADD.

When you have a super hot wife who prefers your facial hair a certain way and it's a matter of getting laid or not....you shave or trim to find a common ground.

I've had a beard at different times over the years, but most of my life I've been clean shaven. Just grew a beard at the beginning of this year and currently still have it. I'm still diggin' it, I'm gonna keep it around for awhile. Don't have any pics of it, so I'll attach this vid instead.
