Mesa/Boogie Titan V12 megathread!

The two cabs would be 2.6 ohm wired together so youd need to use the 2 ohm setting on the titan. I think itd be ok but probably not louder than the 610 on the 4/8 setting.

I would strongly recommend ditching the sansamp and dialing in your sound with the titan EQ.

DI on the titan is amazing and even sounds great dirty. I have never micd a bass cab live, ever.

How does teh Titan handle 4 ohm loads? in a 4 space rack case.. Are the dependable?

I run mine at 4 ohms in a 4 space rack with no problems. Back in April my band back lined a benefit show and my Titan ran about 5 hours (basically straight through) without any problems or overheating. When I bought mine the previous owner had all the updates done to it,extra fan,vented top,new transformer,etc.. The receipt from Mesa was $1600 parts and labor. So yea,put it in a 4 space rack and let it rip

Good morning all. New to the forum. I own a V12 and I was wondering if it is possible to use the head with out a speaker cab just running direct to the PA for smaller venues or for direct recording?

Lots of miles on mine in that config, no issues.

Just use the DI, nothing special. In general solid state amps are fine with no load.

Hey Guys,

I just picked up a Titan !!! I read through this entire thread. I'm just wondering, would it be better served to put it in a 3 or 4 space rack unit? Or just find a custom rack case and put it in there?

Mine's in a 4 space rack with a Furman Power conditioner. It has never broken a sweat!

I checked the serial # on mine. Apparently it was one of the last ones made. It has two fans so I'm thinking maybe I can put it in a 3u rack case and not worry.

I use a 4 space. Recently ive been filling the 4th space with an alembic SF-2. I have two words for that rig.

HPF at 80 and you go from mesa to ampeg bottom instantly.

And BPF at 500 is the perfect fingerstyle presence kick to add over the big mean pick tone i dial in on the titan.

I should have it sometime next week. Super stoked to play through it. I'm looking to pair it with either a Berg AE410 or an Acoustic Control Corp 402 loaded with 2 JBL K140's. More watts than my cabs can handle for sure but I never really run my stuff crazy loud anyways.

Question...Can the V12's two channels be used at the same time? I have a RIC and was wondering if I could use the RIC-O-SOUND feature with this amp? For example...Channel 1 clean, assigned to the RIC's neck pup and Channel 2 dirty, assigned to the RIC's bridge pup. Anyone try this?
