I have a Mesa Titan V12 and I love it!
It's such an awesome sounding head and it's so versatile!
I'm mostly a finger-style player, I mostly run my settings completely flat with the passive mid cranked up all the way. To me the passive mid is the "magic" control.
The amp is a beast, I really don't know why they stopped making them, I can get such a nasty growl out of that amp!

Has anyone with a V12 done any tube rolling? I love the way it sounds so I'm not dying to mess with it...but the temptation is always there.

Man this thing is amazing. So many possibilities. I've read through the thread and not much has been spoken of settings. Does anyone have any clean and dirty settings they'd like to share? No need for a pedal board now. I seem to get all my OD, distortion and fuzz tones from this head.

What kind of tubes do the Titan's come with...I've never checked them out yet.

The stock tubes are Mesa branded. I think their current 12AX7s are Chinese made, but they have used Russian tubes in the past as well.

I checked them out a couple days ago, I have 4 Mesa branded Russian 12AX7's.

Hi Everybody,

I'm Andres from Italy.

I'm a TITAN V12 owner, and it sounds GREAT!

For some time the amp has some problems: costant crackling, sputtering, some louder pops from time to time, noise is there with and without engaging overdrive, but louder when amplified from overdrive gain.

I'v just cleaned pre-amp board from dust and particles - disconnected front panel flat cable, cleaned socket - swapped preamp tubes one by one, each time turning on and off to check and cleaned tubes pins and tubes' sockets with isopropyl alcool - no bulging or leaks from capacitors.

Has anybody had a similar experience?

Newly housed in a purple headcase and vintage ('64) fender knobs ... Badass . now to get some matching duratex for this cab and the EA CX310 cabs
