Jamming witha drummer what is a decent volume setting for the walkabout scout?
I just jammed with some people and had my walkabout gain and master at 12 oclock...
Whats the loudest i can push this amp without damaging it?
Does higher gain or volume cause more distortion?

ahhh...folks seem to like the VT.
I may have read this wrong, but I think he is asking about a pedal that will boost the input signal and in return cause the WA tube to overdrive.
Just gain?
Ahhh....ok, well thin things like the Sadowsky DA might be the thing...
I'm not much of a pedal guy either...I just wanted something that I can turn on and off while playing.
Electro Harmonix LP1. Very cheap pedal and will do what you want.
Nothing comes up in Google...I'll try Sweetwater Would the DOD pedal I mentioned above work too?
I have been thinking about a walkabout lately. I dont see them too frequently on the used market so i called a local dealer. $1100 for just the head?! He said mb upped the price by 100. Does that sound right? Is everyone buying theirs new?
