I KNOW, the two amps are apples and oranges. However, I will give the little Aggie a try. Given the difference in price, its worth a try. I have never heard either amp in person so maybe I won't know what I am missing if I had went with the WA
Took my WA head to a gig tonight to use with my Berg AE212 & using my regular ol' P bass I was getting very little clean output. Overdrive happening at 9 o'clock gain! Had to use my back up- GB Shuttle- thank goodness for that great li'l, gig bag fitting amp!
B4 I go poking around, do y'all reckon the V1 tube?
Any hints appreciated!
Yes, after a nice sleep...... I'll do that today. Check V1 tube.
I hope it ain't something else, tubes I can swap, but ain't much else I know about the innards

Good to hear. Mine was bought 2nd hand tho :-/
Shouldn't be a biggie but

Guys,
I'm driving a Mesa 2x10 and 1x15 (both powerhouses) with my WA. Both are 8 ohm. So to get the full output from my head, I have been going out of one WA amp output, into my 2x10 and daisy-chaining my 1x15 from the output of the 2x10. This way I am driving the cabs at 4 ohm impedance right? I ask the question as in a gig last night, I was advised that to get to 4 ohms, I should be running each cab from each speaker output socket on the back of my WA.... So Is daisy-chaining the speakers using one of the WA speaker outputs the way to pull the 4 ohms out of the head or have I been wrong? Or is either way fine?
I am on a roll of doofus questions lately, so I appreciate you TB'rs having patience...

Thanks Datsgor and projectapollo! Appreciate your time and input(no pun intended)!

This might sound like overexplaining, but here it is anyway: the amp has 2 outputs because not every cab has 2 parallel input/output jacks, some just have a single input, and with two outputs you could still use two cabs. Conversely, your cab has parallel input/output jacks because not every amp has 2 output jacks, and daisy-chaining also works when you need more than one cab. Also, if you were running a larger rig (with slave heads, or if you were running below 4 ohms), you could also daisy chain in more cabs than the number of speaker outputs on the back of the head would allow. For example, technically your Walkabout could power four 8-ohm cabs daisy-chained together to be operating at 2 ohms.
