Thanks, good advice. However, after total failure a few months back, my M9 was brought up to current spec, with a new power transformer, 2 fans, new heatsink, and slotted lid, etc.
IIRC, I posted the details in this thread quite a while back, so if I were not so lazy, I would search and let you know.
Mesa sent a detailed repair/mod list. They even fixed some cosmetic damage caused by my poor packing job.
In other words, the head is quite up-to-date, and it has worked well since service until now. I have used it heavily since it was at Mesa. Like Chef, I drive a 4 ohm Epifani UL1 410, and sometimes add an 8 ohm UL1 210 for a 610 rig.
Wow, love the M9, but have to admit it is now sick. A Shuttle 6.0 is filling in, and my CA-6 is now my backup. Now it looks like probably 3 weeks before I get my pet suitcase nuke back.
