I think this could fill the niche left by the discontinuation of GK’s MB 200. Hmmm…
Intrigue indeed.
Would be a great platform to flagship a line of combos......
YES! THIS head smashed into the Subway 112 cab with an extension cab out so I can bring along the 115 sometimes for poops 'n hahas. $1,100. Where do I send the check?
I'd be down for that. Basically a better version of the current Elf stuff.Yeah, bbbbut
Seems like owning a Ferrari but only doing city driving... that driver won't even breath heavy at 175 watts.
My wildly speculative fantasies have me thinking a modern kind of Baby Blue, "vertical 2x8 with removable head" vibe. Dreaming, right?
The real problem with battery powered rigs IMO is that it’s asking a lot for an amp manufacturer to come up with the power solution. You really need an entire range of solutions, which means you’re now effectively in the mobile power business.Although....
I wonder... if anyone with the trademark on a name like "Subway" would ever put out a D-100 rechargeable battery combo. Maybe a game-changing format like 3x5" built into a backpack.
There really isn't a clear hands-down winner in a battery busking rig. Lots of toys, a boat anchor and Bluetooth speakers is about it right now, yeah?

To be honest, and no disrespect meant here, I just don't understand this logic. And you're not the first one I've seen post something like this. But given the size and weight of the current selection of 700/800 watt Class D amps, and the fact that they generally offer a deeper feature set then their 350 watt counterparts, AND they obviously come with a volume control, why would you "downsize", especially given you already own their 700 watt, more feature rich counterpart. I can totally understand if you're just starting out and own neither, but given you already own the D800+, I respectfully don't understand. Just asking as I'm very intrigued by this thinking, and I'm wondering as a designer and manufacturer myself if I'm missing something here. Also, no disrespect meant to Andy or the Mesa products either. The info comes at just the right time. Small club gigs with my D-800+ feel like overkill. I almost ordered a Genzler Magellan MG350 this week. But now I wait. Maybe there is a chance that the D-350 will come true.
