Mike Lull update

Sounds like an order to me! So Bill buys wallets and whatnot from Ray, Ray buys bass from me, I ship bass to Bill? Let's make this happen, fellas! We'll save you some coin and consolidate the shipments, Bill.

There's a logical chain of events.;)

Can I supply the cows, I may be able to get them cheap....

They have to be dead, not just too drunk to stand. No tire marks, and no glass from bottles of the good stuff.:smug:

Greg, I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on the TC versus the MxV.

Actually, I'm anxious to hear your thoughts in general...I really think this is a great partnership between two outstanding companies.

I agree with all of the above, however I'm trying to avert this thread from topic due to the GAS inducing Facebook wall thread, that you assisted in prolonging.

I agree.

Mainly because I'm the winner in that situation, paying out once, and receiving both leather products and basses... ;)

They'd not only be dead, but somewhat short of meat......

What the heck are you on about?! :eyebrow:

Awesomeness.

Honestly, most of my idea is actually stealing Jerry's idea...:D

Basically this, just in P bass form, with an ebony board, and a black pickguard. Maybe someday, hell, hopefully someday!

That would be an absolute stunner, Bill!

And, just FYI...my orange bass is a MONSTER! Took me a while to get there, and...of course...I spent money doing so (ain't easy bein' me...rule #1). Went from Bart single-coil J's to Duncan LHB's, and finally to the current config...same Duncan LHB in the back, but with a Duncan P in the neck position. I did hedge my bet, though...underneath that sexy pearl guard is a rout that will happily accept a J pickup, along with a quick-connect rig to make such a swap easy-squeezy. That J pickup and the original pickguard resides in the front pocket of the gig bag, just in case. However, I'm very happy to say there's no need....the tone from this bass is flat-out wicked! With both pickups, it's fat, full, greasy, and mean. Turn the blend knob to-taste up to full on P-bass or the other direction to Planet Jaco.

I'm afraid it might, been in the back of my head ever since you first got the Candy Orange machine. Been photoshopping an idea of it all day.... :hmm:

I'm glad you finally got it sorted so well, I'll admit I was very suprised when you sent it off for the P rout!

You know it, Bill. Me too. :D I blame this one...

(Even though it's wearing the stock black guard right now.) That's the most amazing "vintage" ash/maple J bass I've ever heard. It taunted and tortured me at my local store until I had to have it. It and the orange bass were just too alike. Now they're more different than I ever would've thought, but each one is incredible.

These damn basses are addicting....be forewarned! If I was Sarah Palin I'd happily get on a horse and ring all the bells. :D :D

Active is a factory option so you can spec it that way. I had a PJ5 that was passive. It sounded great, but I've become accustomed to the "active" sound and the ability to tweak eq at the bass on the fly.

As for SC vs HB, given that most (all?) of the Roscoes are HB of some kind, I'd be more inclined to go with SC or nc-SC in the Lulls.

That's mine now, and I don't intend on ever letting it go.
