recent pub gig in Woodland. This micro stack does the business every time. 2 bass players came up to ask where the sound was coming from. No house help.
Funny, I was just looking up Phil Jones. A friend told me recently to look into his amps and cabs. The 800 watt had is an awkward shape, and the others seem like too little power for 8ohms, but I like the sound examples that I could find. Feels like the PJ stuff would be great with my semi hollow basses.

The form factor is a bit odd, but the performance is great. The 5s are really great for my eub and elec cello too. Also fx… everything really. Edit: the D400 is my workhorse, i might be considering letting the 800 go.

Yeah I just assumed that the XLR in on the MB was for upright and never thought to try it with a preamp DI XLR out. I was wondering about the gain/volume and how it works. Did it sound good, did it wrk ok?
Yes, all of it was very adjustable, so it was quite easy to set up a good sound. The VTDI has -10db pad, as well, which I’ve not really found I needed to use with my passive basses.

Can I get in on this club, plz & thanks? Big fan of the little rigs. My Tech21 stuff is old but super reliable and great sounding, as long as there is PA support! Landmark-60 and Power Wedge-60, along with a Sansamp 1st version DI. I can go with the whole thing for a bigger stage, or scale it back depending on the situation.
Def a "one-tripper" if I bring just one wedge, a bag for cords and gig-bag on my shoulder. I only bring out both for larger gigs, each wedge weighs about 33lbs

This really makes me want another F110..

Never tried the crazy8/88... had a 12/6, how do they sound compared to the F110.. I'm guessing more old school, for lack of a better term.
The Crazy 8s are a great small cab, not as Hi Fi (full spectrum) as the F110 but clear and very present for a 1/8, together the two 8s sound similar to a 210. The 8 and F110, phat and full, loud and punchy, competes with some generic 410s IMO.

I would love one of those original Sansamp DI's!
