The Carvin combo is a new thing. I swapped in a 1992 PB150-H head (much better than the PB100 Series II head that came with it) and an Eminence BassLite CH2010 hemp cone neo. By itself, the combo is much sweeter and fatter sounding than one would think of a Carvin mini-combo....

What is the model number of this combo and why did you modify it?

It's a PB100-10, probably a couple of years old, and it originally had the PB100 series II head (the one with the RCA jacks over the single instrument input jack.) The original owner added a second port (the top one) to change the tuning. That probably threw a few of you off, right there.appler said:

I saw the PB150-H for a decent price on eBay, picked it up, and it fit perfectly into the PB100-10 combo head space. The PB150-H really sounds better. They have four ohm capability, and the EQ section is also more flexible. There is no built-in mid scoop as on the PB100 heads.

I will try and do that. But, curiously, that photo fits the screen fine without scrolling on my screen (which is why I often use that size for photos). Maybe I have been posting overly huge photos for some time without realizing it!

Anybody know where an EBS dealer is in the US? From the specs I found they only weigh 24 lbs each. NICE!!

I didn't think your pic was excessively large, Tom. It does depend on the size of each viewer's monitor, though. An 800x600 photo will effectively fill up most 15" monitors. Your photo was 768x1024 (portrait). It's more of a nuisance when it's too wide L-R than when it's a long portrait shot like yours. Because of the text wrapping behavior, if someone writes a long paragraph, you have to scroll over to the right to read the whole thing.
With your pic, they'd probably just have to scroll down like they do normally to read posts anyways. If someone's looking at the thread with a 12" laptop, it would probably be too wide and the text would run off the page. On a 15" it would only be long and you'd just have to scroll down. On my 17" it looks fine.

I thought I was out of the mini rig phase, turns out I needed another one. Good thing the cost of one EBS cab covered my entire rig LOL.
Where can us American's find MarkBass online? I'm highly interested in their mini heads, and I know GC carries them, but they aren't featured on their website.
